Marvin, Chris, Kelly and Daniel all got up around 5 a.m. Marvin went to Wal-Mart to get a few things and Kelly was the last to wake up even though it was her idea to leave that early. I guess she was tired from baking cookies till 3 a.m. last night. The four of us left around 5:45 a.m. and Daniel drove. We picked up Ashley in Ft.Lauderdale and then, Steph in Kendall, where her sister works (at the Gap) and then, Daniel drove. Steph brought us Spanish pastries from a bakery.We slowly made our way down to Key West, making random stops and only going like 40 mph. We stopped at a Discount Liquors place and got 4 handles, in addition to the 3 we already had. We went to Wendy’s for lunch and finally made our way down there. We got to our hotel around 4 p.m. and checked in. We started drinking as soon as we got in the room. We left around 7:00 to go explore and find food. We walked around for about an hour because we didn’t want to spend a lot of money on food. Then, we ate at Sloppy Joe’s and went back to the hotel to get more liquor. We got there and Kelly passed out and Daniel stayed in. Everyone else went out partying at Duval Street Bars.

We got up around 10:00 and went to the pool and tried to tan. We all got hungry and then, had to get food for breakfast. Daniel and Marvin went to get breakfast at Denny’s and Chris, Steph, Kelly and Ashley all got hot dogs/sausages at a little stand near our hotel. Then, we tanned while we waited for an hour for Daniel and Marvin to get back. Kelly, Steph, Daniel, Ashley, Marvin, Chris, Erin, and Matt walked to the Fort Zachary Taylor beach. Daniel, Marvin and Kelly checked out the historical fort. We walked back to the hotel and needed something to drink. Chris, Steph, Kelly, Erin and Matt went to Fat Tuesday for Happy Hour. We met up with Daniel, Marvin, Ashley at the Conch Republic seafood restaurant. After, everyone went back to the hotel and Chris, Kelly and Steph hung out and drank while Daniel, Ashley, and Marvin went on a Ghost Tour. We hung out in the room for a little bit and then, Daniel, Ashley and Marvin came back. We all headed out, well those of us who were 21 or had IDs. Kelly lagged behind with Daniel for a little while, and finally came to Fat Tuesdays. Then, Daniel and Ashley hung out, while the rest of us went bar hopping. Kelly, Steph and Chris went to Irish Kevin’s after Fats. Kelly and Steph found some twins from UNC-Wilmington, and went swimming in the hotel pool afterwards. Everyone was sleeping by around 5 am, when they came back to the room.

Everybody sort of did their own thing for breakfast/lunch. Then, in the afternoon, everyone was pretty much tanning on the balcony or hanging out by the pool. Around 5:00, guess what we did? Happy Hour at Fat Tuesday for Chris, Steph, Marvin and Kelly! Daniel and Ashley were out seeing stuff, being good tourists, and then, they met up with us around 7:00, after we got our pre- pre-drinking on. We all went to Margaritaville for dinner. It was delicious. Cheeseburger in Paradise! Then, back to the hotel to change, get ready, and pre-drink. The girls (Steph, Kelly B., Kelly H.) went to Sloppy Joe’s while the boys (Marvin and Chris), and Daniel and Ashley went to gay bars. Some of the gay bars didn’t card, so Daniel and Ashley were lucky for a little while. Sloppy Joe’s was great, and Steph and Kelly met some linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles. Kelly’s wallet was stolen or lost and she looked all over for it at Sloppy Joe’s, and she filed a police report for it. Chris and Marvin met up with Kelly at Sloppy Joe’s and Steph had mysteriously disappeared thinking that Kelly left there. Then, Daniel and Ashley showed up downtown to hang out with us. Daniel and Kelly went to Denny’s and everyone else hung out on the 2nd floor lobby, waiting for someone to leave our room… Then, around 6:00 am, we went back to the room and slept.

Everyone woke up around 9:00. Kelly and Daniel went to get Kelly a new ID at the DMV, while everyone slept or packed. They found Kelly's wallet, without the cash, at Sloppy Joe's, so she was able to get her other ID back, and Check Card. Daniel and Kelly got back and we packed up the car, and walked to breakfast. We had breakfast at a little breakfast/lunch restaurant that played Frank Sinatra music (where Kelly and Daniel went yesterday). Kelly was in heaven. We walked back to the hotel and left saddened. Chris drove us to Miami. We made a stop at the World Famous Tiki Bar in Key Largo that apparently wasn’t so famous today. There were at most 10 people there. It was sad. We made our way to Miami and dropped Ashley off at the McDonald’s near Steph’s house in Kendall, and of course Daniel got some food. We went to Steph’s house and met her mom, sister Natalie and little brother. We were hungry and went to Sergio’s for dinner (Cuban food). Huge portions. Everyone got ready to go out after that, and we did some pre-drinking with all we had left – Captain Morgan’s Spiced Rum. We went to Coconut Grove, or Coco Walk, to be nice to Daniel and Ashley, so they could go with us. Ashley met up with us there and we went to Banana Joe’s. The over 21 year-olds were going to go to South Beach after, but the drinks there were expensive enough and we were out of money. Afterwards, we went home and said good bye to Ashley. Kelly broke a glass when we got back to Steph’s. Clumsy ass! We went to bed around 4 am.

We all slept in till around 11:00 or so and went to lunch after we cleaned up and packed. We ate at The Big Cheese with Steph’s sister Natalie and her boyfriend. It was a good time and good food. Amazing garlic rolls. We said goodbye to Steph and Natalie and headed out. Daniel drove us back home and with traffic it took forever. But, Kelly still didn’t finish her journal, as planned. We got home around 8:00 or so and we all went our separate ways. And there it went, just like that!
